Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has proven effective in treating a vast array of internal medical conditions, whether acute or chronic. When applying TCM’s holistic approach, doctors consider several parameters to characterize the pattern of a disease to fully treat the patient. With a detailed diagnosis, doctors will design a treatment plan based on TCM philosophies, which usually comprises a combination of herbal medicine and acupuncture (and, possibly, complementary therapies).
Consistent with Body & Soul’s integrative approach to health, doctors can also use western modern diagnostic techniques such as blood tests and ultrasound to complement their diagnosis. Our General Practitioner provides consultation for acute and chronic diseases, diagnosis and treating illnesses with Western Medicine protocols. The treatment plan our therapists design for their patient may include western therapies as well in order to treat the whole person. When necessary, western medication can also be prescribed (such as in cases of severe bacterial infection indicated by a blood test).
