Ivy Yang is a nation certified counselor in China. She has rich experiences in working with children, adolescents and adults with a range of developmental and life challenges, including but not limited to: emotional and behavior issues, attention deficit, difficulty of relating to others, depression, anxiety, relationship, stress as well as sleeping issues. Ivy would like to work closely together with children’s family to support them. She also helps to overcome cultural differences.
Ivy has trainings in various counseling therapy, started in training of a Jungian Analyst since 2014. She has been actively involved in IAAP Shanghai Developing Group as a social event organizer, a translator for Jungian Psychology lecture, seminar, and supervision. She was also elected as the DG’s president in the period of 2019-20.
Ivy applies psychotherapy techniques including IPT (Interpersonal Therapy), Person Centered Therapy, and Jungian analysis through dreams, sand play and drawing in an integrated way based on the client’s need. She is trying to assistant each client through their challenges to see who they are as a human being, to have a better understanding of themselves, and to be confident and comfortable of who they are.
